We are happy to say that Redbarn Pet Products arranged a donation of over 7,500 cans of cat food to the Golden Belt Humane Society in Great Bend, KS.

Redbarn arranged for this donation of premium, natural grain-free canned food to help support the cats in the society’s care.

Acting as both an intake facility and a rescue organization, the Golden Belt Humane Society also oversees temporary placement through their foster program. Foster homes provide the animals stability, training, and extra TLC before adoption. Some of this food will help offset the cost of fostering.

According to Redbarn’s calculations, this food could feed over 150 cats twice a day for a month.

Why Make This Cat Food Donation?

Redbarn co-owner Jeff Baikie remarked, “Redbarn was founded on the principle of creating better, more nutritious food for every dog. We understand when times are tough, it can be very difficult for a family with pets. For that reason, it is our honor to support the Golden Belt Humane Society and their animal welfare goals. It’s our hope that with a donation of this size, we will help this rescue to provide care for the cats in their facility.”

According to the ASPCA, approximately 3.4 million cats enter animal shelters every year.

About Redbarn Pet Products, LLC:

They developed the signature Redbarn Rolled Food, an enhanced food with over 93% digestibility. Soon, they began manufacturing premium, grass-fed bully sticks, and other natural chews.

In 2013, due to customer’s demands, Jeff and Howard created the grain-free Redbarn for Cats line. Redbarn strives to provide products and information to help our customers in making educated, nutritious decisions for their pets.
