Redbarn’s Rolled Food has a shelf life of 18 months from the date of production. Please reference the expiration date on the packaging. Refrigeration is only necessary after opening. Once opened, the food has a shelf life of 2 weeks in the refrigerator or 6 months in the freezer.

To Feed: Cut into 1/8" to 1/4" cubes.

4lb Rolled Food Feeding Guide

If your dog weighs:

  • Less than 10lbs feed ½" to 1" of roll
  • 10-30lbs feed 1" to 2" of roll
  • 30-50lbs feed 2" to 3" of roll
  • 50-100lbs feed 3" to 5" of roll

*Each 4lb Roll is approx. 14" in length

Fresh Meat Without the Mess

Packed with real meat and high-quality, garden-fresh ingredients, our Rolled Food is an easy solution to feeding your dog a nutritious, high-protein diet. And, we make feeding a complete and balanced meal easy! Food rolls can be sliced or cubed for a full feed, shredded as a dry food topper, cubed and fed as a treat, used as a pill concealer, or training aid.  

With over 40% fresh beef, lamb or poultry in each roll, it’s more convenient than a raw food diet and can easily be stored without the need for refrigeration until opened. We use a low-temperature cooking process that allows our food to retain vital minerals and nutrients. We’ve also added functional ingredients like Salmon Oil, a rich source of omega 3, and Flaxseed to aid digestion and promote healthy skin and coat. Our beef and chicken recipes are available in whole grain or grain-free.

How is the shelf life 18 months if you only use natural preservatives?

The answer is in the special packaging! Our Rolled Food is cooked while sealed in casings, protecting the food from air, which is often the cause of mold spores, bacteria, etc. These casings will break down over time; but after conducting thorough shelf life studies, our results show our Rolled Food will remain fresh and safe for consumption, when unharmed, for up to 18 months

Can I use Redbarn Rolled Food to conceal pills for my pet?

Of course! Just cut an appropriately sized cube of Rolled Food, conceal the pill inside, and easily treat/medicate your pup. Redbarn Rolled Food also makes a great training treat or kibble topper when cubed or shredded.

Can I freeze Rolled Food?

Yes! You can safely freeze Redbarn Rolled Food for six months. Simply slice into sections and store in a sealed, air-tight container. Thaw to room temperature when you are ready to serve.

There is no need to freeze sealed rolls of food, as they are shelf stable for up to 18 months.

How do I store Redbarn Rolled Food?

While unopened, you can safely store Rolled Food in your pantry. The unopened rolls will remain fresh until the expiration date is stamped on the package. Once opened, store the remaining portions in a sealed, air-tight container in the fridge or freezer. Rolls will remain fresh for one to two weeks in the fridge and up to six months in the freezer.
