We do this to make sure that our products aren’t just good for pets, but are supporting their optimal health.

Early last year, Hal Abrams and Judy Francis of the Animal Radio talk show contacted us to to be the official canned food for their studio cat Tiggers. We’re honored that they spoke so highly of our canned food and are happy that the product helped Tiggers stay healthy as she ages.

Animal Radio’s Story

Meet Tiggers, the Animal Radio studio cat that can't get enough of her Redbarn Naturals Lamb Pate. After years of feeding “Tiggers the Animal Radio Studio Stunt Cat” a major brand canned cat food, she started to get ill. She would vomit every day and have diarrhea every time she went to the bathroom.

The veterinarian suspected either IBD or cancer. Without a biopsy, we wouldn’t know for sure. At 14 years old, in frail health, we opted to avoid the poking and prodding. Our vet put Tiggers on a costly prescription diet, but still, the same problems persisted. For years she lived this way.

One weekend, we accidentally ran out of the prescription food, and our vet was closed. I went to my local pet store just to get a couple of cans of food until Monday. I randomly selected can of Redbarn Lamb Pate. By Sunday morning, Tiggers’ stool was hardening, and she had stopped vomiting. After deducting that it might be the food, we went back to our pet store and got a case of Redbarn cat food. Within a few weeks, not only was Tiggers returning to health, but she was gaining weight back that she had lost while she was sick.

To this day, Tiggers has an improved vibrancy and demands her Redbarn many times during the day. This was when we learned that what’s in our cat food makes a big difference. Those big brand names were making our cat sick. Thank you, Redbarn for saving Tiggers!
